Before FEMA can start rewarding communities for going beyond the NFIP minimum requirements, communities must first verify their activities for CRS credits. These Verification Visits occur first once your initially join the program, and then again every 5 years for communities in CRS Classes 5-9. This 60-minute training will cover the verification visit cycles and visit scheduling by your CRS Specialist; the different types of visits; some pre-visit requirements and options; examples of documentation needed for common activities; what happens after the verification visit; and other helpful tips & tricks for CRS coordinators.
