Kentucky Resilience Questionnaire

This Resilience questionnaire was designed to identify the shocks and stresses in Kentucky and to assist local decision-makers in identifying opportunities to improve resilience through existing planning mechanisms, public engagement, and disaster preparedness. “Unmet needs” are considered needs (infrastructure, housing, economic, etc.) that still exist after disaster recovery is complete.  Refer to the Kentucky Resilience Briefing for more information.

While the initial focus of the HUD National Disaster Resilience Competition (NDRC) is limited to the areas impacted by federally declared disasters from 2011-2013 (FEMA Disaster Recovery 1976, 4008 and 4057), the intent of this questionnaire is to engage a broader audience in the resilience discussion.  Follow the links below for a map of the three disaster areas.

Do you know your Area Development District (ADD)?  Please refer to the Area Development Districts (ADDs) map to find your location.

Whether your community was affected by a disaster declaration from 2011-2013 or not, please complete the questionnaire to the best of your ability. Please reply to the questions below and give us your opinions to the questions. We value your input!!
