KAMM’s Community Mitigation Grant

KAMM Community Mitigation Grant

KAMM promotes natural hazard mitigation and disaster recovery as well as public awareness of floodplain, stormwater, and emergency management.

The KAMM Community Grant Program offers local communities an opportunity for assistance with a mitigation project.  The program allocates funds for projects that promote hazard mitigation and management or mitigation awareness in your community.

KAMM’s Community Mitigation Grant Fundraising

As a non-profit, KAMM will again be offering funds for projects that promote hazard mitigation through our annual community mitigation grant fundraising.  We are entering our third year of providing community grants.  Monies from our fundraising goes toward a community hazard mitigation project.  Our grants are anticipated to range from $3,000 – $5,000 according to how much we raise.

A BIG thanks to our Awards and Grants Committee for their hard work!

Community Grant Funding

Proceeds from the Community Grant fundraisers at our annual KAMM conference are used to fund our annual Community Grant.

Available grant funds range from $500 to $4,000.

Our Community Fundraiser and Silent Auction was a success at the 2021 Conference!  We hope to build on that momentum in 2022!

KAMM’s Awards and Grants Committee review the grant applications by using a standardized rubric.   Learn more about this committee and join us if you would like.

KAMM is happy to announce for the second year, we received numerous great applications for the KAMM 2021 Community Mitigation Grant Program.  Because we received so many fabulous applications, we needed extra time to review the applications and use our rubrics to select the best mitigation projects to fund.
