We invite KAMM friends to take part in our annual conference and preconference activities by submitting an abstract for the 2022 conference program. If you are a local, regional, or federal official, an agency, a consultant, a KAMM member, or anyone else with an interest in mitigation, we invite you to be a part of our conference program.
Please submit abstracts for the following session types.
Beginner, Intermediate or Advanced
- Workshops (2, 3 or 4 hours)
- Concurrent Sessions (30 or 50 minutes)
Potential Topics
- Mitigation Initiatives
- Stormwater and Stream Programs
- Green Infrastructure
- Program Management
- Low Impact Development (LID)
- Public Assistance
- Education & Community Engagement
- Mapping Tools and Innovation
- Higher Standards
- Floodplain and Stormwater Management
- Mitigation Techniques & Best Practices
- Mitigation Initiatives or Grant Projects
- Emergency Preparedness or Response
- Disaster Recovery
- Mitigation Successes: Acquisition, Retrofit, Floodproofing
The deadline for submissions is June 10, 2022.
Selected presenters will be notified by June 24. In July, the draft conference agenda will be posted on KAMM’s website to begin annual conference registration. Presenters are required to register for the conference.
