A Note from the Chair
The Changing Climate of Mitigation
The “new normal” in natural hazards management and mitigation is quickly becoming a reality, and it will continue to underlie and influence how we perform our jobs and set future policy. The cyclical changes we have seen in weather patterns over the past several decades drives our understanding of the need to build more resilient communities. It is the Changing Climate of Mitigation which is our theme for this year’s conference.
