2018 KAMM Call for Abstracts

2018 KAMM Conference Call for Abstracts

Mitigation Superheroes: Investing in Our Communities

September 17, Preconference Workshops & Activities

September 18 – 20, 2018

We invite KAMM friends to take part in this year’s annual conference and pre-conference activities by submitting an abstract for the conference program.  Has your community implemented a project, plan, or action that you want to showcase?  Have you collaborated with the private sector or state partners to identify, manage, and mitigate a hazard?  If so, you realize that Mitigation Matters, so join us for the 2018 KAMM Conference!

We are seeking abstracts for various session types for our anticipated largest conference ever.  If you are a local, regional, or federal official, an agency, a consultant, a KAMM member, or anyone else with an interest in mitigation, codes or standards, stormwater management, green infrastructure, stream restoration, or community revitalization, we invite you to be a part of our conference program.

The year’s premier mitigation-related conference at the Commonwealth’s premier Lake Barkley State Resort Park will offer a natural setting for everyone to talk mitigation.  We heard your conference feedback, so this year we will highlight local mitigation successes that you can use in your community or work.  KAMM’s membership wants to hear from the champions for mitigation, the superheroes…Mitigation Superheroes.  We want to hear your “how to” and success stories that demonstrate the importance of mitigation in our communities.
